Discover The Adamina

in Fairbanks, Alaska.

The Adamina builds on the success of the property’s original owners, who established it as a well-known Fairbanks bed and breakfast. Today, our goal is to maintain that outstanding reputation by providing a premium, modern stay for guests visiting the Golden Heart City.

The current business was launched in 2021 by owner Dan, who proudly named the property after his daughter, Adamina. An Army veteran and civilian employee at Fort Wainwright, Dan has established The Adamina as a premier destination for both vacations and staycations. Since arriving in Alaska in 2017, he has seamlessly integrated himself into the Fairbanks community and fully embraced the local lifestyle.

When he isn’t working to ensure a seamless guest experience or fulfilling his duties on post, Dan is an avid fisherman who spends his free time chasing summer salmon runs. He has traveled extensively across the state to experience everything wild Alaska has to offer, fully immersing himself in the outdoors through off-grid camping, remote wildlife viewing, and honing extreme cold weather survival skills.

Dan is dedicated to providing a welcoming, comfortable home base for your trip. When it comes to planning your itinerary and discovering the best things to do during your stay, we highly recommend visiting the Morris Thompson Cultural and Visitors Center. As a proud member of Explore Fairbanks, The Adamina points guests to their incredible team—they are the true experts on all things Interior Alaska and are the perfect resource to help you make the absolute most of your adventure.

The Adamina is Fairbanks’ premium short-term vacation rental property, perfectly blending downtown convenience with an authentic Alaskan experience. Located in the Illinois Street Historic District, we provide welcoming and clean accommodations tailored for your comfort.

Our prime location makes the downtown area an easy, scenic stroll in the summer and comfortably walkable in the winter for access to local restaurants, boutique shops and nightlife. While staying close to the city center, you can still experience a touch of wild Alaska with occasional moose sightings right on the property.

For a spectacular winter experience, guests receive exclusive access to our outdoor cedar barrel saunas. Located a short 20-minute trip from the property, this private retreat offers nearly absolute zero light pollution for exceptional aurora viewing. Unlike many remote viewing areas, the saunas feature reliable cell service, allowing you to share your northern lights moments with family and friends in real time.

Inside, every private suite is thoughtfully designed to serve as a self-contained home base. Guests enjoy free parking, high-speed Wi-Fi, smart TVs, dedicated workspaces, in-room coffee stations and private bathrooms.

Our stay at the Adamina Denali suite was absolutely perfect. Dan and Solo’s place provided everything we needed for our stay at Fairbanks and it was located perfectly for us to reach all of our activities. We saw the northern lights, dipped in the hot springs, hiked a glacier, and did so much more. We’re vegan and couldn’t eat out much, so having a dedicated kitchen in the unit to prep our meals was absolutely essential and the suite provided. Our stay couldn’t have been better without this Airbnb! What an adventure!
